We say, „Why not?“. At a place where nature is so abundantly multifarious there is no cause to be small-minded.
Therefore, we don’t see anything wrong in the shopping windows displaying local handicrafts, on the one hand, and haute couture or sportswear, on the other. On a menu card it is quite normal to see delicacies such as game specialities and crepe suzette listed next to more plain dishes such as jellied meat and Swabian cheese noodles.
It goes without saying that children’s dishes are just as self-evident as 5-course menus, while the Allgäu dialect mingles with all the international tongues you can think of. And the Oberstdorf sun smiles down on all from the heavens, true to the motto, „liberalitas Bavariae“. Live and let die - where could there be a better place to do just that, if not here?
