Erdinger Arena / Ski jump arena
The five jumps - of the Erdinger arena Oberstdorf located at the bottom of the Schattenberg - can be seen from a distance. The highest jump (125 meter) is the scene of the annual Vierschanzentournee (Four hills tournament).
Built in 1925 and retrofit in 1972. The jump record of 143,5 meters was established in 2003 by Sigurd Petersen from Norway. One of the tour champions in 1959 was Max Bolkart, a citizen of Oberstdorf.
The ski-jump-stadium has four more jumps (100 meter, 60 meter, 30 meter and 19 meter jumps). In the summer mat jumping - in front of a large audience, partly with floodlight - takes place. This is one of the big events for the guests of Oberstdorf.
The jump can be visited year-round, except during the Vierschanzentournee.
